When debugging a plugin issue that’s hard to replicate, we might request temporary access to your site to be able to see the problem in action. To avoid sending over passwords via email we highly recommend using the Temporary Login Without Password plugin to provide access.
Not only can we avoid sending over passwords, these logins also self-expire, so you don’t need to remember to remove the temporary account again.
Installing the Temporary Login Without Password plugin
To install, go to the Plugins > Add New page and search for “temporary login”. Make sure you pick and install the correct plugin:

Creating a Temporary Login
Once installed, you can go to the Users > Temporary Logins page and click on “Create New”.
Use support@bootstrapped.ventures as the email address and make sure the role is set to “Administrator” (this is needed for us to be able to access and check all settings). The other defaults are fine like this:

Once created you’ll get a temporary login link that we can follow to get the required access to your site. Send this to us in your support ticket and we’ll be able to login. You can also see exactly when we’ve logged in to your site and when the login expires.

Take note that nothing will be sent to us automatically. You will need to copy that temporary login link and get it to us yourself, for us to be able to access the website.
In general we try to avoid requesting access to your site, but if needed, this plugin provides a secure way of doing so.
