WP Recipe Maker 101

Welcome to WP Recipe Maker! This page will get you up and running with the very best WordPress recipe plugin in no time. If you get stuck along the way or have any questions at all, don't hesitate to contact us!

1. How to install the plugin

Installing the free version is as easy as searching for "WP Recipe Maker" on the Plugins > Add New page in your own WordPress backend. Any paid bundle would be installed next to this free plugin as a separate plugin file. For more help, check out the following articles:

2. How WP Recipe Maker works

WPRM allows you to add a recipe box to any post or page on your website. These recipes do not exist on their own but get displayed inside a regular post, just like the rest of your content.

On the WP Recipe Maker > Manage page you do get an overview of all recipes on your website for easy access and editing but it's important to know that these recipes will only show up once you add them to a post or page.

3. Creating your first recipe

To get familiar with the plugin we recommend jumping right in and going to the Posts > Add New page to create a new post. Add a new recipe to the post using the "WPRM Recipe" block (when using Gutenberg) or by clicking the "WP Recipe Maker" button (when using the Classic Editor).

4. Next steps

Congratulations, if everything went well you've now created your first recipe! There's a lot more to explore though. Maybe you have existing recipes to import? Or you want to customize the look and feel of the recipes on your website?
