By default WP Recipe Maker adds recipe metadata to all of its recipes. According to Google’s guidelines this is only allowed for food recipes, however. If you want to use the plugin for DIY or other non-food recipes you need to make sure that metadata is not there.
If using the plugin for non-food recipes you want to enable the “Allow non-food recipes” setting on the WP Recipe Maker > Settings > Recipe Metadata page:
After doing that you will have a new dropdown when creating or editing a recipe that allows you to set this recipe as being non-food:
For a non-food recipe we will not output the JSON-LD metadata, making sure you’re in line with Google’s guidelines.
