WPRM Kitchen

WPRM Kitchen brings your WP Recipe Maker sites together in one workspace. You can access recipes across connected sites, work with recipe card templates, and review reader activity. Your recipes and installed templates stay on your WordPress site.

Kitchen is currently in public beta. Features may change as we continue improving it.

  • A WordPress site with WP Recipe Maker installed and up to date.
  • A WordPress administrator account to approve and manage the connection.
  • A WPRM Kitchen account and workspace.
  • WP Recipe Maker Premium active on each site whose recipes and analytics you want to access.

Connection management is available with the free plugin. A connected site without Premium shows “Connection only” for its recipe and analytics access. Template workflows are available on connected sites, but installing or using a template’s Premium features still requires the matching plugin features on that site.

  1. In WordPress, go to WP Recipe Maker > Settings > WPRM Kitchen.
  2. Save or cancel any pending settings changes before managing the connection.
  3. Click “Connect to WPRM Kitchen”. You will be sent to Kitchen to sign in and choose a workspace.
  4. Follow the pairing prompts until WordPress shows “Connected” and the workspace name.

You can also start the connection from Kitchen. When WordPress shows “Approval required”, review the requested access and click “Approve Connection” to finish pairing.

You do not need to generate or copy a separate access token for each device. Kitchen uses a site connection, and your WordPress password is not shared with Kitchen. Repeat the pairing process for each site you want to add to the workspace.

If the page shows “Waiting for WPRM Kitchen approval”, use “Continue in WPRM Kitchen” to finish signing in and choosing the workspace. Pairing requests expire shortly; use “Cancel” and start again if the pending request is no longer active.

Approving the connection grants Kitchen access to recipes, templates and other supported features. Recipe and analytics access requires WP Recipe Maker Premium.

Kitchen syncs daily aggregate analytics counts per recipe, post and action. Individual events, visitor identifiers, IP addresses and user agents stay in WordPress and are not shared with Kitchen. These daily counts let you compare reader actions without sending individual visitor records.

For enabling collection and understanding the available actions, see Recipe Analytics.

“Show WPRM Kitchen in Menu” is off by default. To add the shortcut under WP Recipe Maker, enable it in WP Recipe Maker > Settings > WPRM Kitchen, save your settings, then reload the page.

The setting only controls the menu shortcut. You can manage the connection through Settings even when the shortcut is hidden.

On the Kitchen connection page, use “Test Connection” to check an existing connection. Use “Disconnect” and confirm the prompt to revoke Kitchen’s site access and stop syncing.

Disconnecting does not delete your WordPress recipes or installed templates. To grant access again, pair the site with Kitchen again.

Open WP Recipe Maker > Template Editor. On a connected site, “Browse Kitchen” opens the template catalog and “Restore from Kitchen” opens your saved templates.

To save a site’s editable template, save your edits, select the template in the overview and click “Save to Kitchen”. The link opens that template in Kitchen, where you can save it to the workspace. Clone a built-in template first to create an editable copy.

Templates installed from Kitchen remain local, editable templates on your WordPress site. For templates linked to a Kitchen version, the Template Editor can show the installed release, whether it has been customized locally, and whether an update is available. Use “Review update in Kitchen” to review a new release before applying it.

See Templates in WPRM Kitchen for the save workflow and how to handle updates to a locally customized template.
